What is the Jog-a-thon?
The Jog-a-thon is a week-long fundraiser where students log their movement minutes. Movement can be anything from running, sports, stretching, or a family walk! Prizes will be awarded to individual students and classrooms with the most movement minutes. Additionally, we will have a Jog-a-thon event on the NCE field with fun warm ups, running on the track, stretching/yoga cool down, and then students will enjoy Dippin’ Dots.
When is the fundraiser?
The Jog-a-thon fundraiser runs from November 13-17. The main Jog-a-thon event will take place on Wednesday, November 15 from ~8:45-12 pm on the NCE field! Each grade will participate for ~45 minutes going in grade order from PK-6th.
Are visitors welcome to attend the Jog-a-thon?
Yes, visitors are welcome to come to the NCE field to watch the Jog-a-thon. Please plan to park off campus as the loop road is closed to parking. There will be a separate entrance to the field for Parents. Please see below for grade-by-grade start times:

Jog A Thon Fundraiser
Nov 13-17, 2023
Dear NCE Families,
NCE PTA’s 12th annual fundraiser, Catch a Coyote Jog-A-Thon, is here! This year, our theme is
“Beyond the Sea... Where there’s a will, there’s a wave!” THANK YOU to our family and corporate
sponsors!
The Jog-A-Thon is a week-long, exercise-based fundraiser. Students fundraise and log their exercise
minutes every day from Monday, Nov. 13 through Friday, Nov. 17 using Pledgestar. Students login and
create their Pledgestar page at https://pledgestar.com/newportcoast. Exercise includes everything
from running, individual or team sports, stretching, or taking a family walk. Even if a student is absent
this day, they can still fundraise and log activity minutes all week. Prizes will be awarded to individual
students and classrooms with the most movement minutes.
The main Jog-A-Thon event is on the NCE field on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 8:45am – 12:00pm. Jog-
A-Thon day at school is filled with fun warm ups, running on the track, cool down exercises, and
Dippin’ Dots treat. Event schedule is listed below by grade start and end times. Parents and guardians
are welcome to come to the NCE field to watch the Jog-A-Thon. Please plan to park off campus or on
right hand lane of loop road. There will be a separate entrance to the field for Parents marked with
silver balloons.
